Real Madrid forward, Karim Benzema, has shown his admiration for La Liga and UEFA Champions League winners, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604. He stated that Pep Guardiola’s side were simply brilliant in the final against Manchester United and played some awesome football.
Barcelona defeated Manchester United 3-1 in the final at Wembley on Saturday to secure their fourth European crown. The Spanish giants simply outclassed Manchester United with some brilliant football and proved once again that they are the best in the world.
Benzema insisted that it was very difficult for Manchester United considering the game Barcelona played. He claimed that the Spanish side were definitely the better team and were a joy to watch. The striker revealed that the English side made the better
start but Barcelona were unstoppable after the interval.
The former Lyon forward said that Barca could have had many more goals but Edwin Van der Sar mad some brilliant saves to keep United in the match.
“There is absolutely nothing you can do about what we saw on Saturday. Barcelona really are a great team to watch. They were superior to Manchester United and dominated the match. United made a good start, but Barcelona were unstoppable once they started
playing their own game,” he was quoted as saying.
The French international insisted that the Catalan side is a great team but refused to admit that they are unbeatable and are the best team of all-time. He claimed that Los Blancos had defeated them in the final of the Copa del Rey after a great match so
they can be beaten.
“We beat them in the Copa del Rey final so they can be beaten. However, there's no doubt that they are a great team,” the former Lyon striker concluded.
Karim Benzema has been heavily linked to Juventus and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429. If reports are to be believed, the Gunners are leading the chase to sign the striker as they have been short of attacking options last season due to injuries. Arsene Wenger could use his French
connections to force a deal but it is likely that the player will stay.
