Celta Vigo managed to go 2-0 up against giants Real Madrid in Copa’s last 16 first leg clash, but Ronaldo rescued a late crucial away goal.
Celta Vigo enjoyed a great moment in their club’s history as they defeated Spanish champions Real Madrid, 2-1 at the Balaidos Stadium.

Celta welcomed Mourinho’s men for the clash and the Portuguese tactician named a pretty credible squad in order to ease their task in the second leg of the tie.
However the Special-One was not to be having an easy ride, as Celta looked determined to stun their guests.

Real then introduced Kaka to change things but the Brazilian had little impact.
Bustos then drove a nail in to Real’s coffin as he doubled the host’s advantage on the 75th minute mark. His goal was a treat to watch and Adan could only see it embrace the far top corner of his goal.
Ronaldo instrumental, as so often he has been, came to Real’s rescue as he timed a perfect run behind Celta’s defence and calmly finished past Alvarez to give Real a precious goal that would give them a chance to seek progression to the quarter finals of
the tournament.
