Real Madrid to move for Cesc Fabregas with a €40.5 million offer
Real Madrid is reported to test Arsenal’s resolve with a £35 million bid for their captain and star player, Cesc Fabregas.
Cesc Fabregas has been touted as a long term transfer target for Spanish giants Barcelona. It is believed that Barcelona has come time and again, knocking at Arsenal’s door but Arsene Wenger, the manager of Arsenal Football Club, has always been stubborn
in his response. Now it has been reported that Jose Mourinho, Real Madrid’s manager, wants to get one over Barcelona by winning the race to Fabregas’ signatures.
Mourinho has reportedly told the Real Madrid officials to stop their start-stop attempt to sign Cesc Fabregas and pile a sizeable offer to lure the young but experienced Spanish midfielder to Santiago Bernabeu. Mourinho is reported to believe that Cesc Fabregas
would prove to be an ideal partner of Madrid defensive midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Xabi-Alonso-c37045, having played together in Euro 2008 and the World Cup 2010 for the Spanish national team.
It is very unlikely for Cesc Fabregas to leave Arsenal in the January transfer window seeing as Arsenal is going strong in their title push and have a realistic chance of winning their first piece of silverware in five years, after reaching the semi finals
of Carling Cup. Moreover, the Arsenal number four’s contract is set to expire in 2014 and a £35 million figure looks to be too low for a one-time Euro and World Cup winner who also happens to be the skipper and heartbeat of his current football club.
Moreover, Fabregas has been brought up in Barcelona and has repeated his desire numerous times to end his career at Barcelona FC. So it remains rather unlikely for the Spaniard to move to Real Madrid since the two Spanish giants happen to be the fiercest
of rivals.
However, nothing is impossible in the world of football. Nobody would have thought that Luis Figo would ever consider a move to Real Madrid after such a successful time with Barcelona. Likewise, Cesc Fabregas has also admitted in the past that a move to
Real Madrid or AC Milan is not impossible. It remains to be seen whether Arsenal would retain their prized possession in the summer.
There are also new question marks over Jose Mourinho’s future at Real Madrid after his agent confirmed recently that a move back to Inter Milan is not “impossible”. If this happens to be the case, it will take a lot of weight out of Real Madrid’s bid for
Cesc Fabregas.
It is very unlikely for Fabregas to move anywhere during the whttp://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 transfer window and a move to Real Madrid would definitely be nothing short of ‘shocker of the season.’
