The English press has revealed that Spanish giants, Real Madrid, are lining up a bid to lure Crystal Palace super kid Wilfried Zaha to Santiago Bernabeu.
Wilfried Zaha, regarded as one of the finest young talents of English football, has put up a series of scintillating performances over the past few months, helping his club Crystal Palace, to obtain top spot in the league.
The performances of the 20-year-old haven’t gone unnoticed, and have unsurprisingly attracted interest from several top clubs.
Spanish champions Real Madrid are believed to be keen on the youngster, along with genuine interest from several English sides, believed to be Arsenal, Tottenham, Manchester City and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786.
Zaha’s recent run of breathtaking performances, along with his four goals in the league, has earned him a well deserved spot in Roy Hodgson’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sweden-c3015 on Wednesday.
It has been reported that Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho had sent scouts to monitor Zaha’s performances at Crystal Palace, and they have fielded a very positive report.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 are also believed to be extremely interested, although their opening bid of 8 million Euros would fall well short of Crystal Palace’s asking price.
Crystal Palace owner Stephen Browett said, “We absolutely do not want to sell Wilfried in January.”
“If you finish last in the Premier League you get €65m in prize money and with parachute payments over four years you are guaranteed €110m.”
“It is such a massive amount that selling your best player when you have a good chance of promotion makes no sense at all.”
However, it is believed that the youngster would relish a move to one of the top clubs of the continent, and if a potential move is imminent, then Palace would want the pursuers to cough up an amount in the region of 22 million Pounds.
Club owner Stephen Browett further solidified his stance that he would hate to let the hot prospect leave in January, and made it clear that he is not for sale.
Palace’s promotion hopes heavily rely upon the contribution of the talented Englishmen, and it is believed that they would do everything in their grasp to keep hold of their prized asset.
