Real Madrid vs. Ajax – UEFA Champions League Match Review (Part 2)
Ajax played their strongest side while visiting the Santiago Bernabeu in Madrid. The coach Frank De Boer made sure that his side gives the Spanish Giants a tough time.
Kenneth Vermeer, the Ajax number one, stood guard between the two posts. Frank De Boer played a 4-3-3 formation which meant that Vermeer had four defenders to aid him at the back.

It was Siem De Jong who was able to receive the ball perfectly inside the penalty area and took his shot on goal. However, Casillas was on his toes yet again and he saved the day for Madrid twice in the first few minutes.
Real Madrid then decided to step up a gear and it took them 17 minutes to find the flow that they required to threaten the Ajax defensive walls.

A few minutes later, Real Madrid finally scored the first goal of the game.

During the 25th minute, Madrid scored from a fabulous counter attack. Ozil was the man who started the attack from the centre of the pitch.
