Real Madrid vs. Levante – Spanish La Liga Review (Part 2)
Moments later, the Argentinean winger Angel Di Maria had his shot on goal. This time rather than finding Karim Benzema at the other end of the goal, the Argentinean got past his marker on the right wing and blasted a shot towards the Levante goalkeeper.
However, Gustavo Munua was on his toes yet again and jumped well enough to deny the ball from finding the back of the net.
Throughout the first half, Real Madrid were taking advantage of their home crowd and were dominating the game. They were simply taking advantage of the spaces that were created by the Levante defence line. Even though the Levante coach played five defenders
to deny Real Madrid all the chances, Real Madrid took advantage of how they were not very well organized.
The second goal of the game came from a very unusual source. It was the Portuguese centre back and the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Karim-Benzema-c20350 was fouled right outside the 18 yard box, it was Cristiano
Ronaldo who stood over the ball to take the free kick.
The Portuguese captain simply blasted the ball towards the goal but it deflected off the ball and ran past the Levante centre backs. Both the centre backs were confused and did not clear the ball to safety. It was http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ricardo-Carvalho-c30973 who stood right next to
the goal line and took advantage of the blunder that the Levante defenders pulled off. The Portuguese centre back tapped the ball and scored the second goal of the game to give Real Madrid a two goal advantage before heading into the break.
Real Madrid had more than sixty percent of the possession in the first half. Not only did Levante barely touch the ball in fact they barely created any chances on goal. The Los Blancos were simply all over the place in the Santiago Bernabeu and were also
leading the game by a two goal margin in the first half.
The second half started off and Real Madrid went forward to score more goals. The Los Blancos were craving to find the back of the net as they continued attacking the Levante defensive walls. It was the same scenario throughout the second half – Real Madrid
were busy attacking while the visitors were trying to defend their goal.
The Levante goalkeeper almost made it 3-0 as he almost scored the third goal of the game after he pulled off a goalkeeping howler. The Levante defender gave a back pass towards Munua and even though Munua was in line to receive the ball, it accidently went
between his legs and almost ended inside the back of the net. However, the Levante goal stopper ran back and cleared it before any Real Madrid player could reach it. It was almost the third goal of the game but Gustavo Munua saved it for the visiting side.
After a few minutes, Real Madrid came at it all over again as they reassembled in the midfield. It was during the 53rd minute when Angel Di Maria and Karim Benzema tried to combine in the midfield but the ball was dispossessed and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sami-Khedira-c32325
picked up.
