Jose Mourinho revealed that he has had rigorous training sessions with his players regarding their frailties on set-pieces and believes they cannot work on them anymore.
Another match but the same story with a devastating result to look at, Real Madrid suffered their first defeat of the 2012/13 La Liga season and had to curse their inability to work out threats from set-pieces taking the limelight once again.
With a goal advantage heading into the interval, Real Madrid players hit the showers with big questions hanging on their title defence chances. The Capital club have gone two matches without a win, a start difference from the previous season, where they
registered 32 victories in 38 outings.
The Santiago Bernabeu based outfit were undone by Getafe with the same formula http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mauricio-c24899 Pellegrino used to unlock their defences a week ago.
El Geta nullified Gonzalo Higuain’s first half effort from a set piece, Valera getting his name on the result card to profit from the dead ball situation. Abdelaziz Barrada scored the second goal of the match, effectively putting the match in their favour
with 16 minutes remaining.
A disgruntled Jose Mourinho did not shy away from sharing his views on the match as he entertained questions put forward by media personnel.
When quizzed about the defensive frailties of Real Madrid, the Special One revealed that they have worked on them extensively with the players but their efforts have yet to be rewarded on the football pitch.
Mourinho commented that they have taken special care to prepare for set-pieces but have let in goals because of individual error and organization on the back line. He added that they cannot do anything else to deal with the situation, admitting that they
are conceding ridiculous goals.
“Dead balls have many aspects. Organisation and individual error. In recent matches we have worked more than ever on defensive organisation for dead balls and we can’t work on it anymore.”
“In terms of organisation we can’t improve because we analyse videos, photoshop and we train on the pitch. But you also have individual error and one player doesn’t complete his mission. I realise that this goal and that conceded against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863 are ridiculous
goals”.
