He claimed that the Los Blancos are strong enough to inflict defeat upon their arch-rivals and emphasised upon the importance of each one of those fixtures.
The full-back expressed his delight upon reaching the last four of the UEFA Champions League by beating Tottenham Hotspur, 5-0 on aggregate. He admitted that Barcelona are one of the best sides around and it would take a lot to beat them especially after losing to them 5-0 earlier in the season.
The 28-year-old added, "We want to win all the four games [against Barcelona] but we know that it will be difficult because they have a great team."
He mentioned that it would be no more than a treat for the football lovers to witness four Clasicos in less than 20 days, but for the players it would be a pressure thing. He further told, "It will nice for people who like football [to watch four Clasicos in 18 days]. A number of titles are at stake in these games and they will be very important."
The four of these encounters are lined up like this:
Madrid are going to host Barcelona in the La Liga fixture on Saturday, 16 April. Then the two teams will meet each other in the final of Copa del Rey on Wednesday, 20 April. Both the teams have also qualified for the semi-final of the UEFA Champions League and will meet each other in a two-legged semi-final. The first leg will take place on Wednesday, 27 April at Bernabeu while the return fixture will take place on Tuesday, 3 May at Camp Nou.
Nine-time European Champions, Real Madrid, are second in the League table with 76 points and are eight points behind of their title rivals, Barcelona who are leading the La Liga flight with 84 points. Madrid won the competition last time in 2001-02 season, where they defeated Barcelona in the semi-final and Bayer Leverkusen in the final.
