Real Madrid’s Gonzalo Higuain not heading to Chelsea, agent confirms

Gonzalo Higuain’s agent and father revealed that the striker had no intention of leaving La Liga giants Real Madrid to join Chelsea in the January transfer window.
With the winter transfer window having arrived, the 24-year-old http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011. He was linked with the likes of Chelsea and Juventus for a move in the January transfer window.
Even though he is contracted to Madrid until the summer of 2016, it was believed that he would move to either http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 for a new challenge. However, his father Jorge Higuain denied the rumours and claimed his son was committed to Madrid.
Higuain senior said while speaking to reporters:
“Nobody at Real Madrid has said anything about wanting to sell Gonzalo and he doesn't have any intention of leaving.
In fact, he wants to continue with Real Madrid until his contract expires in June 2016.
If somebody told us we weren't welcome (at Real) I'm sure we would receive very good proposals.”
According to the player’s father, Higuain was happy at Real Madrid and wanted to remain at the club until his contract expired in 2016. He insisted there had been no talks of a move away and that the striker would remain with the Spanish side.
While he admitted that both Chelsea and Juventus were top sides, he claimed they had not yet been in touch with him regarding a possible move. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jorge-c19120 Higuain was adamant his son would see out his contract with Madrid before moving on to another side.
He continued:
“Regarding the rumours that say http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 and Juventus are interested in my son, the only thing I can say is that they are both two great teams.
They would be two important opportunities, but nobody has gotten in touch with me.”
Higuain signed for Real Madrid for a fee of €13 million in the winter transfer window of January 2007 from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/River-Plate-c40368. Since joining the La Liga giants, Higuain has made a total of 190 appearances in all competitions and has scored 91 goals along with 29
assists.
