Real Madrid manager, Jose Mourinho, has refused to comment on their fierce rivals and Spanish Primera contenders, Barcelona. Ahead of the highly anticipated El Clasico, the Portuguese mentor exclaimed that he has nothing to say about Pep Guardiola’s Barcelona
or the El Clasico.
The two teams are set to face each other on December 10, with Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabeu being the venue for the fixture. The match, which will be this season’s first La Liga El Clasico, is expected to be a heavily contested fixture.
With Mourinho's Real catching up fast on Barcelona's quality, El Clasicos this season are likely to determine the winner come the end of the season.
Before Real Madrid and Barcelona lock horns, Los Blancos are to face Sporting Gijon on Saturday for a La Liga fixture, before they take on Ajax in the final game of their Champions League group stage.
11 days ahead of the encounter between the two giants, Los Blancos head coach expressed that the team is not focusing on the game against Barca. He revealed that the trip to Sporting Gijon is of more importance right now.
He wants his players to be in complete peace of mind and expects them to focus on one game at a time, revealed Mourinho.
Mourinho added that the discussion about facing Barcelona will begin after Real Madrid play their match against the Dutch heavyweights on Wednesday.
The Portuguese mentor further added that he wants to keep the three-point cushion when they face Barca by winning against Sporting Gijon away from home.
