Real Madrid’s Mesut Ozil inspires AFC Ajax’s Christian Eriksen – Dutch Eredivisie news

keen interest in signing the young playmaker in the upcoming transfer market. The Danish International has revealed that one of his objectives is to play at the highest level like Mesut Ozil, who currently plays for Real Madrid.
The 19-year-old playmaker is a product of the Amsterdammers renowned youth academy, which produced the likes of Johan Cruijff, Dennis Bergkamp, Ronald de Boer and other such luminaries. The Danish International started his professional career at Amsterdam
Arena at the start of 2010/11 season and made 46 appearances in all competitions, scoring eight goals to go along with a bagful of assists.
“Mesut Ozil of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Real-c30728 Madrid is a great example for me. His movement off the ball and his eagerness to have the ball; I am not yet at the same level as him.” Eriksen revealed.
The Danish International believes that he has still a lot to offer in the coming years. He reveals that he is inspired by Ozil and wants to play like him. However, he also expressed satisfaction with his performances for Ajax this season.
“It is my goal to play at the same level as Ozil. I realise that it will be a while before I will achieve that, though. I am pretty satisfied with my performances this season”, he added.
The 19-year-old playmaker recently went on to lift his first Eredivisie title with Ajax on May 15, when his side thrashed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Twente-c39233 Enschede 3-1 in front of their home crowd on the final day of the season to lift the 30th league title in their
history.
The Danish International believes that he still needs to improve his skills, especially his passing and ability to score goals.
“I had three objectives ahead of the 2010/11 campaign. I wanted to become a first team regular, improve my passing and become more clinical in front of goal. I have achieved the first thing, but the other two things could still use work.” Eriksen concluded.
