Speaking on the resurgence of the Reds, Alonso said, “They have regained their confidence and despite being knocked out of the Europa League their form in the Premier League has improved a lot. They can rebuild a competitive team, especially as it looks like there is now stability at the club again.”
He added, “Now they have to think about the sport side and create a plan for the following years."
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 international spent five years at Anfield before moving to the greener pastures of the La Liga. He currently plays for Real Madrid, but claims that Liverpool will always hold a special place in his heart.
The midfielder said, “I am still a Liverpool fan and will be forever, absolutely. The things that I have lived and the experiences I had during those five years are deep in my heart and the passion and respect I had for the club and its supporters are still the same.”
Alonso also hoped that he could pass on the importance of the club to his son, who was born in the city.
Liverpool are currently sixth in the Premier League, hot on the heels of fifth placed Tottenham Hotspur.
