After securing their 32nd La Liga title and knocking their greatest foes off their perch, does the Blancos squad actually need additions and replacements?
Real Madrid, probably one of the strongest football sides in the world, has a reputation for being home to some of the greatest players to grace the field. However, the question stands, does the current roster at the Spanish capital-based football club complement
its reputation?
There are a number of ways to answer the question; firstly, one has to consider Madrid’s performance last season.
The Whites were nothing short of brilliant throughout the recently passed season’s campaign. Not only did the Santiago Bernabeu outfit manage to achieve the silverware, they did it with impeccable style.
Jose Mourinho’s men were able to capture the Liga BBVA title with the highest number of points ever secured in the history of the league. This was not the only record broken by the nine-time European champions; in fact, they also scored the highest number
of goals in the history of the Spanish Primera.
Now, when one looks at such statistics and the way the Merengues won the league after a break of 3 years, it has to be noted that Mourinho’s men are certainly a destructive force.
Even though the past few seasons saw the footballing juggernauts struggle for titles, apparently they seem to have bounced back and the 2011-2012 campaign is testimony of this.

However, the Vikingos managed to do it this season, achieving a victory at the Catalan capital to demonstrate a shift of power in the Iberian Peninsula. And according to popular belief, this may even be the beginning of a new era.
Prior to the last season, it was Barca who imposed an undisputed hegemony over Spanish football for three consecutive seasons but the last season saw a few changes.
This performance certainly shows that the current Los Blancos roster is capable of achieving what they are expected to achieve. The Madridistas of today have excelled at producing some of the best displays the sport of football has to offer.
However, an emerging problems are the players who have not received enough playing time. Where some athletes achieve greatness, others are forced to wonder whether they made the right choice by arriving at the Bernabeu.
With the likes of Kaka, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Esteban-Granero-c12919 sidelined amongst others for a greater part of the season, it is probably a sign of disparity which exists in the Madrid locker room.
Most experts believe that these players would perform at their best given the ideal circumstances, or probably a different club. However, the Spanish giants have failed at reaching a decision regarding their futures and the problem continues to be unsolved.
Also, with the newly crowned champions of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Luka-Modric-c22857, one is forced to wonder whether all of these gifted athletes will fit in one team.
At the moment, there is massive confusion surrounding these matters and there is no telling about what additions or replacements will take place. However, in a perfect world, the Real Madrid management would at least consider letting go of their disused
players before planning to bring in new ones.
