Real Madrid’s world’s best striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cristiano-Ronaldo-c9629, breaks another Record – La Liga
The world’s most expensive striker, Cristiano Ronaldo, has proved why Real Madrid paid Manchester United £80 million for him. Though the Portuguese international has been unable to deliver the La Liga title, the coveted forward went on an insane goal scoring
spree to bring another title, the Copa del Rey, at Santiago Bernabeu. He is now the all-time highest goal-scorer of La Liga.
Ronaldo entered the arena to make history, having levelled the all time highest goals in a season at Primera Division. With 51 goals for Real Madrid throughout the season and 38 goals in the Spanish domestic league, Ronaldo was just a strike away from carving
his name in history.
In the season’s last fixture, he made thousands of people witness history when he scored his 52nd goal of the season and 39th League goal, which would gain him the Pichichi award and possibly the World Player of the Year award. The
goal was scored against the relegated side, Almeria.
The legend needed just five minutes on the field to achieve his target. His name was entered into the record books when http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Xabi-Alonso-c37045 took a free kick which was directed towards the far post.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sergio-Ramos-c33096 was present there to head the ball towards an open Ronaldo who made no mistake in drilling the ball into the back of the net, thus, causing a roar from the fans to be heard in heaven.
With this goal Ronaldo has cleared all previous records.
Previously Ronaldo was in a joint record with Madrid’s Hugo Sanchez. Sanchez scored 38 goals in the 1989-90 season. Athletic Bilbao’s Telmo Zarra was also held at the joint record when he scored the same number of goals in Bilbao’s 1959-60 season.
Ronaldo was far away from the record but the end of the season saw him enter into a goal scoring frenzy. As a matter of fact, he has scored 9 goals in the last 3 fixtures, but that was before tonight’s fixture.
