With the 2012 summer transfer window upon Spanish top flight domestic football, Real Sociedad coach Philippe Montanier has already worked on his midfield for the coming campaign.
La Real youth academy graduates, Ruben Pardo and Javier Ros, will be promoted to the first team after impressing in the reserves team in the recently concluded season. The duo will add options to the Basque team’s midfield that is full of native stars.
Philippe Montanier has the enviable prospect of plethora of players to choose from in the midfield for his first team. Pardo and Ros join will play alongside http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-c10409 Zurutuza, Gorka Elustondo, Markel Bergara and Asier Illarramendi in the centre of the pitch.
Whoever Montanier chooses to start in the next campaign, the witty tactician will not have to worry about creativity and stability in the midfield. Incidentally, it is also the only part of the squad where there is no foreign presence in his squad.
Claudio Bravo remains the undisputed started between he sticks, while in the defence Sociedad have Demidov, De la Bella and Cadamuro. The imports link up with Ifrane and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chori-Castro-c9003 to bolster their options.
As Montanier goes with his preferably 4-3-3 formation, he has Elustondo, Illarramendi, Markel, Zurutuza, Pardo and Ros to choose from in the centre of the pitch. Xabi Prieto and Antoine Griezmann can make sporadic appearances but will be consigned to their
roles further up the ground.
From the six available midfielders, Markel is the least offensive and will compete for playing in front of the backline, a place where the head coach can also position Illarramendi and Elustondo, while Pardo and Ros can also be given handy time on the field.
With plenty of options, Montanier will have to see that he is able to get the most out of his midfield players, on whom he relies the most. He has a good look on his established stars but it is the question of the academy graduates who pose the biggest of
problems.
Both youngsters have proven that they can play anywhere in midfield, they are most likely be consigned with performing back-up duties to the established stars in midfield.
On an individual level, Ros adds physicality in the game play without sacrificing on quality, while Pardo focuses his efforts on creativity.
