Vallecano were at the receiving end of a masterful performance by Sociedad, and were demolished 4-0 at the Anoeta.
Sociedad produced a classy performance, probably the best of their season, when they faced a Vallecano side for their La Liga meeting last night.
The mid-table club brought the game firmly in to their grasps after the half hour mark, as two minutes of self brilliance by Mexican striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carlos-Vela-c8558, saw Sociedad score twice in quick succession. Vela scored a brace and La Real were in firm control
of the affair.
Vela’s first came as he pounced on a long ball and slid it under the Vallecano goalkeeper, David Cobeno. The Mexican doubled his side's and his own tally, as he finished off a great passing move by whipping in a left footed shot into the bottom corner.
There was none stopping the rampant Sociedad team and they nearly made it three on the score sheet when Ruben Pardo’s volley was tipped over the bar by Cobeno.
Vallecano’s shot stopper, Cobeno, was left completely exposed by his team’s defence and was furious at his guards, as he made save after save to keep his side still in the match.
Rayo finally got themselves settled in the game after the interval and looked to be a different side, but were cruelly punished on a swift counter attack by Sociedad. With 30 minutes to go on the clock, Vela's cross was headed backwards across the box and
Mikel Gonzalez made no mistake and slid it in to make it 3-0 for the home side.
The visitor’s thought they had pulled one goal back, but were only denied by the offside flag and Delibasic’s goal stood dismissed.
The hosts took the game beyond their chasers as they added a further fourth. Talented youngster, Pardo, played in fellow team-mate Chory http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Castro-c8590 and he buried his finish in the top left corner.
The free flowing goals brought an end to the problems of the home side, who had suffered in front of goal and had only managed to score a total of twelve league goals in eleven outings before this game.
