Real estate Agents...please answer.

I'm thinking into going in this direction and would like some advise. I want to go big into the housing industry. What major & minors in college would you highly recommend to be a successful realtor.please help...

Not one college class helped me in any way for my realty career.  To make it worse, out of 100 people in my realty licensing class, I am the only one left.  Can you get strangers to trust you to sell their house or to find them a house they will buy?  If you can, you will make it big.  If not, you'll be somewhere else. /

A college degree isn't going to necessarily assist you in the real estate market.  Although, the relationships that you build with alumni and other students could potentially pay off in the end.

In order to become a successful real estate agent, you need to be a social butterfly.  Attend each and every sales seminar.  And constantly be networking.

It is a tough field, just like any profession.  You need to work hard, and not be afraid to speak to anyone.  Keep in mind that any person is a potential client, so be sure to keep your professionalism high at each and every function.  Keep your eyes and ears open, and never be afraid to ask for assistance from friends and family members.

Keep in mind that Bill Gates was an extremely successful business person, that is a college dropout.
