Real-looking scars tips?

weve got a play for an exam and i need to do scars on my arms and face. does anyone know how to make them look real with make-up or something?

they sell fake scar stuff around halloween time but you can make your own by mixing a little bit of polyester fiber (pillow stuffing) with regular colored chap stick.

If it needs to be visible from the back of an auditorium  you might want to use red make up.

Eye lash glue will wrinkle your skin like a scar (elmers glue will do the same but takes longer to dry and do not put it on your face)... get deep purple, non shiny eye shadows, with shades of yellow, green and dark red to create the scar tissue.  I wish I could physically show you... if you are interested I can scan a picture of my "zombie" makeup (I did many years of theater) although it was not just scars there was also blood... you can let me know though by looking at the picture what is is you want to acheive and I can tell you how to do it based on what parts of the "bruising" you are interested in having for your project.  I will give you my regular email address if you email me through YA first (I dont like to give it out too often) but please include an email address for me to send the picture if you are interested...
