"This is an easy way to spice up regular hot chocolate mix. Add more or less of each ingredient, depending on taste. Serve with marshmallows or whipped cream and enjoy."

    INGREDIENTS

3 tablespoons instant hot chocolate mix

    1 tablespoon chocolate syrup

    1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

    1 pinch chili powder

    1/4 cup milk

    3/4 cup boiling water

    DIRECTIONS

In a large mug, mix the hot chocolate mix, chocolate syrup, cinnamon, and chili powder. Pour in the milk. Add the boiling water and stir.

  2. Mexican Hot Chocolate

This is serious chocolate. This very rich drink is almost a dessert in of itself. It makes the perfect late night drink with cookies as well as a great finish to the meal. Don't skip any steps and throw the eggs right into the chocolate. You will have hot chocolate with scrambled eggs floating in it.

    4 ounces unsweetened chocolate

    4 cups milk

    2 cups heavy cream

    3/4 cup sugar

    1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon

    2 eggs

    3 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

Melt the chocolate in the top of a double boiler. In a separate heavy saucepan heat the milk and cream on low until hot but not bubbling. When the milk mixture is hot add 3 tablespoons of it to the chocolate and mix well. Blend in the rest of the milk mixture, the sugar, and the cinnamon. In a small bowl beat the eggs and vanilla. Add a tablespoon of the chocolate mixture to the eggs and beat well. Slowly stir the egg mixture into the chocolate. Whisk the hot chocolate briskly in the double boiler for 3 minutes, then serve immediately.

    Makes 8 servings.

  3. first you need real mexicans

  4. It's very easy to make actually. You will need to buy some chocolate from the Latin isle at your grocery store, it is called Abuelita. (It's a box with a picture of an older lady on it.) You use that, and milk and bring to a boil. Sweeten with sugar to your taste and some people use cinnamon in it also. Good luck and I hope I helped out.

  5. Mexican Cocoa

2 c Fat free or lowfat milk

    2 Whole cinnamon sticks

    1/4 c Unsweetened cocoa powder

    2 tb Brown sugar

    Ground cinnamon; optional

    Instructions:

Heat the milk and cinnamon sticks over moderate heat until simmering, and

cook for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and steep, covered, for 5 minutes.

Transfer the cinnamon sticks to large warmed mugs. Whisk the cocoa and the

sugar into the milk until well combined and let stand 1 minute. Pour into

the mugs and serve with an extra sprinkling of cinnamon, fi desired. Makes

    2 servings

  6. Mexican Hot Chocolate

1 circular tablet Mexican spiced chocolate (3 oz.)

    3 cups milk

1 to 2 tsp Anhco chile Powder

Place chocolate tablet (or chocolate mixture), chile powder and milk in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. When the chocolate has softened, beat mixture with a molinillo or a rotary beater until blended and mixture stops boiling. Bring to a boil again and beat well over heat. Bring to a boil a third time and beat over heat to produce as much foam as possible. Pour into cups.

    Wonderful recipe!  ENJOY!!!
