Real to go shopping in England
The biggest spenders in the transfer window from Spain have easily been Spanish giants, Real Madrid. Over the course of the previous few transfer windows the team has spend hundreds of millions of pounds on players to help reinforce the squad.
They have already bought, Sami Khedira, Angel Di Maria, Ricardo Carvalho and Mesut Ozil. It was believed the their new manager, Jose Mourinho was going to stop his summer spending with the capture of the German superstar, Ozil. However it appears as though he still has some unfinished buisness.
Reports have flown in stating that the Portuguese manager, is looking to sign at least one new striker to the squad. The players that he had in mind who he would wish to see at the Bernabeau are Manchester City's Emmanuel Adebayor and Chelsea's Didier Drogba.
There is no chance that Chelsea are going to want to part with their goal scoring machine under any circumstance so it is safe to say that, the Ivory Coast captain moving to Real Madrid is nothing more than wishful thinking on Mourinho's behalf.
On the other hand, Adebayor on numerous occasions has expressed his dissatisfaction at City. He had even made come and get me pleas to AC Milan and Inter Milan to come get him earlier this transfer season, but ever since he has found out about the interest shown in him by Madrid the player has decided that he want's to fight for his position in the City squad. Adebaoyr is trying to play the role of a teenage girl by doing so, he is simply trying nothing more than playing hard to get. It is fairly obvious the player wished to leave the Eastlands and now that he is getting his wish he is trying to do something absurd to prevent it from going through.
It is however believed that Adebayor will be a Madrid player by the end of this month.. What this would mean is Karim Benzema could be on his way to Manchester United. The player has fallen out of favor at Madrid for a while now and with the addition of another striker there wouldn't be any place in the squad for the French forward. Manchester United are the only club, that have actually shown any interest in signing the player and chances are they might just land the forward after all.
Another player who Real Madrid have targeted is, Arsenal left back Gael Clichy. Mourinho feel's that Marcello isn't good enough to be a part of his squad and feel's that if he can't get Ashley Cole to join the team, then he will have to settle for Arsenal's Gael Clichy. Arsenal are well aware of the interest shown by Real Madrid at the moment and will have to decide if Kieran Gibbs is ready to replace Clichy as the team's left back. Wenger is very unlikely to let go of the player easily, so Madrid might just have to look else where for a left back as well.
