Realistically, What Are The Chances Of Winning Something Decent On The Lottery?

I know they give you odds etc, and the law of averages says if you do something enough you luck will change. However I think theres more to it, I think luck etc is averaged out over everyone, but not every person has there equal share of luck, I think some people seem to get other people's share of bad luck and vice versa, hences why some people have won the lottery jackpot twice, while others possibly doing it for years have won nothing.

Whats your thoughts?

  1. Here's my outlook on luck. I feel that if you don't play you don't win and that if you do play you have a 50/50 chance of winning. Either you win or you don't.

  2. I think it is realistically possible to win something decent on the lottery as long as your not one of those people who buys tickets every week and just knows they arent going to win, and then when they inevitably don't win they get all angry about it. Stay positive and you can win, maybe not the jackpot but at least something. My father only plays once in a blue moon and he won like 10k a month ago. I play scratch offs here and there, and I am at least up 500$ on the scratch offs. I don't buy them that much though, and I hit the 500$ twice and I have had a number of other winners. Ohh my cousin also won 100k about a year ago. I rely less on luck,  just "the way of the things"...you get what you expect....
