I wouldn't think so Roxel. Thrashers aren't bad. I think they have a better chance than the Leafs

  1. oooooooooooo Roxel the Thrashers will be ahead of the leafs, mark my words. yah the leafs dont have a very good chance of making the playoffs, ill say they have a bad year, then make a turn around in the last few weeks to secure 10th place in the East

yah nothing positive can be said about that playoff performance, EMBARASSING

of course toronto wants Kovy, who wouldnt want him? 30 teams in the league would want him on their team... I know kovy wants out soon, but i highly doubt its to the leafs, it would need more than Mccabe to get Kovalchuk.

Kovalchuk, Lethonen for Toskala, McCabe, Steen, Kulemin, 1st rounder

  2. well if sundin doesnt come back theres no chane unless they get a atleast 2 monster trades but dude atlanta wants macabe and toronto wants kovalchuk so toronto might get ilya

    then we'll talk

  3. Im a long time Leaf fan and I really, really hope they do not make the playoffs..They HAVE to re-build for the next few years..

If you look at their forwards I cannot expect them to score much. For them to suceed they will have to play tight D and good special teams.

But like I said,,for the better of the organization they must lose.

  4. Hey, Rocco, haven't seen you around in a while. My guess is just a tad over nil. I'm not sure what to make of this team this year.

  5. They have a better chance than the Thrashers!

EDIT: Yeah, I guess you are right.  Look at it this way though.  The Thrasher have never even won a playoff game before.

  6. No they're rebuilding.

  7. The same as my chances of catching up to Judas Rabbi in points

  8. about 100 to 1.  They're not necessarily trying to make the playoffs they're trying to get their young players some experience and some high draft picks so they can compete in a few years.

Rocco G-I very rarely rip on a team, because to be honest hockey is hockey to me i really don't "hate" any team.  The re-build process is tough, but it's what my Capitals did and we came out the better for it.  Get in for a rough two or three years if they do it the same way the Caps did it, but then strap in for a very successful 10 years.  It's worth it in the end, this is how teams are reborn.

  9. With the way the free agent market worked out this year the eastern conference is going to be much better than last year, with the best teams getting better, and the worst teams making their way up.  I would not say that the maple leafs are the worst team in the eastern conference ( that spot is reserved for either the florida panthers or the new york islanders ) but i would put them in the bottom 5.  My good friend is one of the personal trainers for the team and they experimented with something new last year in their training.  They atempted to make the team peak late in the season so they could make a run deep into the playoffs, this backfired.  They lost to many games early on and were forced to rebuild instead.  but here is my breakdown of how i believe the Eastern Conference will work out.

    1. Pittsburgh (Conference Champ)

    2. Montreal (Division Champ because they are in the weakest division)

    3. Washington (Division Champ)

    4. Philidelphia (Showed a lot in the playoffs last season)

    5. New York Rangers (finally learning not to overpay overated old players)

    6. Tampa Bay (made enough moves, 5 ex-penguins, to be put over the top)

    7. Boston Bruins (they play with heart, should be a fun team to watch pp/pk are going to be questionable)

    8. New Jersey Devils (most boring team in the NHL, but they know how to win)

    ---------------

    9. Carolina (Eric Staal cant do it all himself)

    10. Buffalo (Young Prospects will turn up in 2 years)

    11. Ottawa (Still Working Out Problems)

    12. Toronto (Fun to watch but not enought experience or talent)

    13. Atlanta (Will Average over 3 goals a game, for AND against!)

    14. Florida Panthers ( Worst Team in the NHL )

    15. New York Islanders ( Will be the whipping boy of NHL's Best Division)

  10. About the same as Mats Sundin winning the Vezina

  11. Seeing as Carlton the Bear has a good chance of winning the number 2 centre spot, I would say pretty bad...
