  1. I would say he surpasses them, for the mere fact that Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal do not win EVERYTHING. It has been scientifically proven that Phelps is double jointed in the chest, thus giving him a greater advantage. He also just went down in Olympic history for the most gold medals ever won. I would say that is much more impressive than the great wins of Federer and Nadal.
