Reality or over the top?

I watched a movie by John Hughs called "The Breakfast Club"...I love it so much! Do you think it's throwing reality over the top? Or maybe you think that its true...( 5 people with completely different lives and views on the world can become close friends in a few hours?)

"The Breakfast Club" is one of my favorite movies.  It's clever writing and direction from John Hughes.
