Question:

Really Annoying Sticky Question?

Hi, i mopped my tiled floors on friday with just water as I had run out of bleach. When they dried, my shoes stuck to the floor, so much that when i lift my foot to walk, it sounds like velcro coming apart. Its really noisy and really annoying. I just washed them again today, still with no bleach so I used washing liquid in the water, and it hasnt changed. I even put talcum powder on the bottom of my thongs (thats flip-flops for all you non-australians haha) but its still sticky. Can you tell me what I can do to make it not sticky or not noisy??? Any suggestions will be much appreciated. Thanks :)

  1. try vingar. it should make it stop or if it doesnt work i recomend buyiing somthing from the store you spray it on and it gets rid or gum and almost anything sticky.

    good luck

  2. The best solution is to get down on your hands and knees and scrub the floor with a plastic or mesh scrubber and scrub with a dab of dish soap and vinegar solution. I never use a mop, always get down and dirty lol, and have never had that problem.

  3. In addition: bleach is really bad for floors. It can work its way down the seams of the lino or tile and damage the glue, and it can also damage the finish over time. Citrus cleanser is better for the floor and it tends to clean better as well.

  4. use water and vinegar works every time.

  5. Pine Sol will solve that problem, and you'll probably continue to use it, great stuff.

  6. get a new mop and re mop but boil your water so its really hot and put a lil bleach in it too

  7. get some bleach or lysol
