Really Important!! sound problem.?

Question

Okay well im having a problem with my computer speakers.

A while back I got a virus on my computer.

So i went into all the programs on my computer.

And i think i might of deleted something for the speakers.

Because now there is no sound at all! Though the little light

is still on. So i know they are working.

Is there a Disk that might of come with the computer so i can re-instal the sound device? Or can i just do it from the computer? I really need help.It sucks not having any sound.

hi

go to control panel and select system. on the hardware tab select device manager. look for sound, video  and games controllers.

if there are any exclamation marks then find the sound card driver cd and reinstall the drivers.

if you don't have the disk then download the files from the pc makers support site

also right click on the volume icon in the system tray and make sure that the mute is not ticked

Your PC may have come with sound drivers on a CD but, I would need to know what make and model PC to try and look them up?
