Really bad at %, please help!?

If there are 34 questions that are all 1 point each, and I got 24/34, how do I figure out what my % is?

24 divided by 34 equals 71%

Well the correct and accurate way to do it is to divide 24 by 34, and you get 70.5%

To do it quickly to get an estimate in your head...

Percent means out of a hundred

You know that 33.3333 is 1/3 of 100.  34 is very close to 33.3

So, make the fraction over 100.

if you multiply 24/34 by 3/3 you get 72/100.

It is off by a little, but if you don't have a calculator handy, it is a nice way to find out a range for your grade.

just make it a proportion to x/100 so 24 divided by 34=0.70588 times 100 would be 70.588% which would round to 71% which would actually be a 70.6 percent in school.
