I keep getting super bad cramps and all but my period isn't due for a few weeks. The pains are JUST like period pains. Only they happen closer together and last longer.

is this normal? Because my next one will only be my 2nd so I don't know.

Thanks, any help would be great

  1. I wouldn't worry, as it is only your second period, your body is trying to adjust into adulthood, so these cramps may be connected to a painful ovulation, don't worry, I had these too, just keep taking paracetamol, and use a hot water bottle on your stomach, it can help reduce the pains...

If you are still worried though, contact your doctor and just ask if they are normal.

    xD

  2. Could definitely be ovulation as it sounds like it could be that time for you.  It takes awhile for a period to become regular and some women's never become regular.  Are you constipated by any chance?  Sounds gross to ask but that pain can sometimes feel similar.  You could try ibuprofen but you should ask your doctor if for nothing else then to ease your mind.  Hope this helps some....

  3. this could be anything..

    pregnancy, infection, you name it!

i would recomend to go see a dr as he/she will have the correct answer for this question.

goodluck hun and take care :)

  4. Your second period?

well, your period is probably irregular and you body is just adjusting.

or usually a few weeks before your next period is time of ovulation and that could be causing some uncomfortable symptoms such as your cramps. Try drinking some more water, like the recommended 8 glasses of water a day.

    Good Luck.

  5. If it is not due to your menstrual period, perhaps you have issues going on with your ovaries such as cysts.  More likely than not, since you state that you are currently awaiting your second period, there is a possibility that this pain is just a part of your menstrual cycle.   Try taking a midol, pamprin or even tylenol to allieviate your pain.  If this does not help and those pains persist, consider having your mom taike you to the doctors office.  Hope you find relief soon...Good luck!

  6. It sounds like painful ovulation. Don't worry too much about it, it probably won't happen every month. Take something for the pain and try a heating pad on your belly or a hot bath to relax you.
