I slept over at a friends last night after a party and he told me I'd been swearing my head off in my sleep. One of my friends caught it on camera as well, I know I sleeptalk but I'd never known it was that bad! Its really embarrassing...what can I do? Everyone else thinks its hilarious but I'm just humiliated...

  1. they have sleep studies at hospitals. ask to sign up.

Are you too tired when going to bed? Are you stressed, depressed, unmotivated?  All these things will make your sleeping patterns worse, lead to sleep walking, talking and eventually insomnia.

Some people have too much on their minds, too much stimulation thruout the day. they need to learn to prioritize, learn to take on stress at different levels and need to learn how to go to bed on time and when tired, not when overtired.

    good luck

  2. see a sleep specialist.  most hospitals now have a sleep disorders

section and they can evaluate and help.

  3. LOL!!!!! Thats so funny! Stop having such dirty dreams then! LOL! Stop bottling up all your swearing during the day, just allocate yourself a quite 10 minutes away from everyone and swear your head off then!

  4. Outside of medical care ie a physician I'm not sure there is any help.  I don't even know of medical care that can terminate/fix the problem.  I myself suffer from sleep talking and walking.  I get up in the middle of the night and mumble or speak eloquently about anything from stuffed animals to political candidates.  Non of which I remember and non of which I particularly agree with.  I say things in my sleep that I do not think I actually agree with.  I'm sorry about your situation.  I really do feel for you.  My father says that as a young child I used to talk in my sleep and say crazy/off the wall things that he chuckled at.  I'm not happy about it nor am I embaressed about it but can understand how you could be.

  5. When some people want to take control of their dreams, they ask themselves if they're dreaming several times during waking hours. That way, when they are dreaming, they'll naturally ask themselves if they are, realize they're asleep and take control. So I think similarly, if you, maybe three times out of the day, when you're talking to someone, ask yourself if it's a dream. It seems to have worked for me.

  6. well, what do you eat? what do you drink? what life do you lead? any deeper problems? phisical activity? Do you still sleeptalk after running 67 miles during the day?

Try swimming 16.5 miles in 4 hours then that night let me know if you still sleeptalk and if you did I'll come up with something else.

    I can fix anything.
