I did't have any power for a week and when it went out ALL of my dishes were dirty. I stayed at a hotel for a week until they got it back on.

It's so gross. Gnats are all over and it smells.

I dont have a dishwasher and I don't feel ike I can get them clean enough. I bought a gal of bleach.

How can I do this to be sure they are super, super clean? I'm really picky about what I eat off of :(

  1. hire a dishwasher to wash the dishes for you... if you to clean it on your own, grab some rubber gloves, baking soda, vinegar, dish soap. start by soaking the dishes on a mixture of water, baking soda and vinegar. let it sit for a couple of minutes then rinse the stains. after that, clean it again with dish soap to make it really clean with pleasant smell

  2. Boiling hot water and bleach. Let them soak in it for a few hours and then wash as normal. And wear rubber gloves.

  3. well you could throw them out and buy new ones or just soak them in very hot water with dish soap for a while, then empty the water, rinse and let them soak in bleach / water for a while then wash as you normally would.  Use gloves if you have sensitive skin but that will get them very clean.  Good luck

  4. Well, I would get some high rubber gloves and nice heavy duty scrub sponge and start washing....

Fill the sink(s) with really HOT water and add some bleach not alot maybe 1/2 a cup... Let the dishes SOAK 10-15 minutes.  To loosen the crud... Give em a good wipe down with a soapy sponge and put them in some clean water to rinse.. You could even fill up a rubbermaid bin with clean water to let them soak and then give em a final rinse!

Also, if you are picky about what you eat off of... Then it's best to wash dishes as you dirty them and NOT let them sit... That way if the power goes out again your dishes aren't ALL going to be dirty.. .You wouldn't believe how gross/disgusting dishes can get sitting out even for just a day!   SOAKING is even worse!

Also, buy some paper plates to use a back-up!

  5. okay

    buy some cleaning gloves
