Really good digital camera....zoom?

wats a good digital camera tat can zoom in really good from like a mile away or as far as it can go.

I have an older sony cyber-shot  DSC-H9 that I got for my birthday. They dont sell it anymore but they sell newer kinds with probably better zoom, although you still may be able to get them in stores, just not over the net. Oh yea and the zoom on my camera is 15x, which I think is really good.

Usually if your looking for a quality zoom the cameras going to be pretty big.

I prefer Nikon cameras but this site has a lot of really good reviews.

Also I've heard Cannon is the best brand to go with but it's more expensive usually.
