Really how bad is this?

Question

I get money from social secirty and i do have a ebt card. (food stamps)

Anyways those dont last long. I give my dad a call the other night telling me i need some money for food.

he said ok. So i call later in the day and say it again just a reminder.

comes about 7pm freaking jack*** is eating watching tv. and only gives me 20.00 for the day.

I have no gas to go anywhere i wont get money till this evening and no food =\

I totally get your frustration, but you have to keep in mind who's doing who a favor here. Accept whatever he gives you with as much graciousness as you can muster...even if it's forced. When you're walking on eggshells, don't hop.

get a proper job and support yourself instead of relying on your dad

i dont truly know your situation as to why u are getting social security but maybe its best you try to find a part time job somewhere .. just a suggestion

well, how much money does your dad have??? i think you can find some other ways around this situation. maybe you can do some jobs on the side locally from your current work. and in your neighborhood so you don't have to use gas. do you live in the country or a city?? there is a lot of alternative ways to get some money. if you have a bike, be a pizza delivery boy or something like that. I would really stretch that 20. start a very small savings. any pocket changefrom his pockets and yours goes into a jar. emergency only. every penny saved will help you as it sounds. maybe even give up a few of the luxuries like the internet if you need more cash. it is a nice touch but not a neccessity right??

Seriously, how old are you? You sound about 19 years old??? My family of 5 eats for about $10-$15 per day. Why was the $20 GIFT not enough for you?

It's only the 20th of the month and you are all ready broke and out of food stamps?  I don't think your dad is doing you any favors- $20 will last me 3 days- and I have 2 kids.
