Really itchy eyes! Help? Ways to relieve itchy/painful eyes?

I wear disposable contacts. I clean them like I am supposed to and I don't usually sleep in them. I've tried taking antihistamines and have used all the drops in the book. But, my eyes still hurt and itch. It isn't shooting pain, just annoying pain. Any advice? *I don't have vision insurance.

Thera Tears is one of the best eye lubricants. I use it all the time. You can get it over the counter at any pharmacy in the eye care section.

i know you said you tried every eyedrop "in the book", but have you tried an over-the-counter topical antihistamine?  like alaway or zaditor?  they're formerly-Rx-only anti-itch medications and they work.
