Really quick question about colonial america??!!?

Question

what factor best tied the colonists together?

A) religion

B) trade

C) language

i'm thinking it's B) trade, but i was just wondering if anyone had a different answer.

I would also say B. Even though they came here for religious freedom, there were still several different religions, and since it was (and still is) a sensitive issue with people, I doubt it helped tie them together as a whole. Trade was so important in keeping the colonies from falling through. It was basically their currency. Instead of paper or coin money, they used crops, furs, etc.

Those are just my thoughts...

I was always lousy in history, but my guess would have been religion since most of our early settlers came here for freedom of religion.
