Really short hair want scene/emo look?

I have short hair its about 4 inches long its REALLY SHORT and i need a sub for my scene/emo hairstyle for school, and I have the clothes and everything. My bangs come to my eyebrows but they arent cut at an angle, I dont know what to do to cut it at an angle and give it time to grow. the sides come about half an inch over my ears, the sideburns do no reach my face yet, the back of my head my hair goes off about 2 or 3 inches. Ideas please? I am a boy by the way. and my hair isnt long enough for most short hair scene/emo styles. I am able to straighten my hair, but when i do it kinda independently sticks up and fluffs up its self, kinda like hair in Final Fantasy lol. Kinda spiky and parted, but off my face, it stands up on its own and makes its own volume. Would putting oils or some recommended leave in conditioners work? I have curly coarse hair its not naturally straight, so if it has any wetness it explodes lol and poofs up. thanks
