Question:

Really want to get into a college, but I am not sure if I can make it?

I don't have the exact recommendation a certain college is looking for, but the alternative is not appealing at all (almost nothing to study but a few topics). I really like the college and I know others with lower scores then I made it, but I'm worried and nervous that I will be rejected and then I will have nothing else to look forward for further education till I get a car. If anyone has gone through this and made it is there any advice you can give for me? The college I am interested in is Alma College in Alma Michigan, my ACT scores is a 18 lower by 3 to their recommendation and I think I have a B- average to their suggested B average, I also have 0 credits in foreign language to their suggest 2, but I am entertaining my 4th year of math one more then their suggested. I'm also praised almost by all my teachers (not sure if that helps). Well I am just really nervous so any advice that would help.

  1. You can better your chances of admission by retaking the ACT and studying more for it. Ask for letters of recommendation (if the school needs them) from teachers who you know will give you good comments. Good letters usually help an application.

You shouldn't worry about the numbers though -- they are averages, so that means people get in who have both lower and higher numbers.
