Ok, over the past few months, i've been been noticing that i can't have a bowel movement unless i have enough pressure (up there), i.e. constipation. or i externally simulate my a**s.

Also,

I've been noticing that i don't have a very strong "Gotta go" urge anymore which makes it hard to expel my BMs.

  1. First, change your diet and eat things that will make you go regularly -- a bran muffin or a date square once a day.  Raisin Bran cereal also is good.

If this does not solve the problem within a few days, you need to go see a Doctor to explain the problem and get help.

  2. First think about if anything chanced from a few months ago...

(To remove stress as a potential cause)

Second, try increasing your fiber intake, perhaps a glass of metamucil before every meal for example.

Third, try exercising more.  Particularly with exercises that involve a fair amount of twisting with the abdomen and a full body workout (several types of yoga for example).

And finally, if nothing else works, check with a doctor.

On the same note though, try not forcing a bowel movement though.  Wait until you actually need to take one, as opposed to a simple feeling like that of having gas.

Other than that, just once again, review your diet.  Certain foods work better than others, and some medications can also interfere with your digestion system.  Unless it is starting to impact your life, I wouldn't worry about it too much.
