  1. Get involved

    PTA

    teacher helper

    playground help

    library or computer lab assistant

    book fairs

    party planner

    reading assistant

My kid just finished grade school, I did them all

This is a normal feeling and the best way to ease your feelings is to get involved with anything and everything at the school, God knows, they need you, and your kids will feel comforted knowing your there on campus.

Don't show your tension infront of your kids, cuz you will only get them worked up and lack confidence in them selves and the new school.

  2. Stop worrying. It is common to have children in 2 or even 3 different schools. You will know the people there in no time. Your sons will make friends fast.

  3. If you knew everyone at the old school and the old school was demolished, when you get to the new school, you will find out that you know a lot more people than you think.  Every one has to go to a new school.  Your kids will be fine.

  4. Thats life.  They will make new friends.  Its ok.

  5. deal with it they will not be in the same school forever anyway

get to know new people and i bet you anything that some of the people you knew from the old school will be in the new schools

your children also would not have the same teachers forever either so this is a good experience for them

  6. I understand you completely. But, your child will survive, worse could happen, both of them will make new friends and you will meet the new moms there. Trust me. My husband was in the military for years and we moved so much. My children are going into their 3 elementary school and they seem okay. I don't know anyone in this town, and don't know any of the parents, but I know my kids can make friends, and when I take them to school I'll talk to be and make friends that way. Just have faith...it'll all fall into place. Change makes us all worry...
