hello,

I just search my home value online how come it came out the price is $ 1. and it is sold on june 18 . but I did not sale my house. please tell me what is going on/

  1. Was some document recorded on June 18, such as a Quit Claim Deed?  That would explain the $1 price, which has nothing to do with the value.  

    Be sure you are at the assessor's website and you should be able to see the value set by the county.  That will not be the market value, however.

    Zillow.com will give you a rough idea of the value, but will not take into consideration condition and improvements for which there were no permits.


  2. Check www.zillow.com for the value.

  3. Make sure you have the correct information on your home, the permanent index number.  $1 is the amount shown on deeds, that or $10, rather than the exact purchase amount, although it is a matter of public record and can be determined by looking at transfer stamps on the deed.  Frequently a recorded document will read for $10 and other good and valuable consideration.

    If you're current with your lender and you haven't refinanced, you need to check it out, carefully, with your county recorder of deeds.  There are scammers out there.
