  1. 25%

  2. 25%--I'll take 'em if they want to come to Massachusetts!

  3. 25% Why? Know any clients coming to Maine?

  4. 25% but I often am asked for a 30 or 35% referral fee ...I just enjoy working for nothing!!!

I refer them through Active Rain, are you familiar with Active Rain?

Do you have a reason for asking what our policy is? and if you could be more specific that would be helpful.

  5. It depends on the situation.

25% is popular, but if it is a listing under $25,000, I charge 15% or will only accept a 15% referral.  Some brokerages won't take a referral fee under a certain amount, an agent in my office got a listing through inter-office referral and that referring office won't take a referral fee if the listing price is under $75,000.

I got a lead on a referral awhile back and the referring agent demanded 35%.  I looked at the property we were talking about, and it wasn't worth the price, I would have given all the money to her, advertising and my principal broker.  I'm sure she found some sucker to take that deal just to have the listing.
