Rear Speakers don't work on my 1997 GMC Safari?

Hey there, I have this problem with my rear speakers to my 1997 GMC Safari... When the volume is very high and you put the fade to rear, the rear speakers can be heard very faintly... I was told by a professional that it was the rear amplifier, I ended up spending a non-refundable 250 dollars from the dealership and it didn't help with the problem... Could anyone suggest anything? or know what could be going on?

So an overview... Speakers don't work... even with new amp... yet faint sound can be heard when isolated to the rear...

Thanks

KEN
