  1. Smoke is most likely due to fluid leaking onto the rotor.  I would check the brake line where it connects to the rear rotor.  


  2. Sounds like they are sticking. If you have rear disc brakes, the calipers are sticking. It could also be a leak in either the axle seal or in the brake system (wheel cylinder - brake line) The only way to know for sure is to remove the tire and wheel.

  4. then take your handbrake off....your going to have to remove them for a look....if there smoking then the pads/shoes WILL be shafted...

  5. Try releasing the parking brake before driving!

  6. if they're drums they could be too tightly adjusted or handbrake cable could be too tight.  how many clicks does your handbrake do when you pull the lever up?  if its less than about 7 i would loosen it up.

  7. sounds like a caliper is stuck, Or you may hae useed up the pads
