Rear drum brake making noise

Hello i have a seat ibiza tdi 1997 ( same internals as a vw polo) and whenever i press the brake pedal it makes a nose like metal is moving up and hitting something, like a tap and when i relase it makes a noise like the peice of metal is comeing down agine, the noise only comes from the left side drum brake, i havent a clue on what it is

  1. You have something loose or something out of adjustment. If your not comfortable in taking the brakes and inspecting them then please take it to someone who can tell whats wrong.

  2. Have you pulled the drum and inspected it? Sounds as though something is sticking or out of adjustment. Perhaps your auto-adjuster isn't functioning properly. Safety first caveat - If you don't know what you are doing take it a shop to be inspected.
