Ok yesterday we were on our way home from town and we were stopped at a red light in the turn lane to turn left and we felt a thump and rolled forward. I looked at my husband and said oh great we were hit. He gets out and goes back there. We were pulling our brand new flat bed trailer so I knew our SUV wasn't damaged. Well when he starts walking back there I hear the lady saying "its fine" "its fine" " there is no damage". I can hear my husband saying let me look at it. He then tells her to back her car up so he can see if his ramp will go up and down properly still. Meanwhile she is still saying, "it's fine, no damage" . Well I get out and go back there and my husband tells her ok well there is no damage to either of our cars so lets just go. And told her she needed to be more careful because he has his 3 year old in the car. Then this lady says " you ******* backed in to me!". I said excuse me we were in drive at a red light. She said then you must have let your foot off the break. I said um no, we were hit and pushed forward a few feet.(oh and btw after we got back in the car, we tested her theory, my hubby put the car in park then in drive and let off the brake and we rolled FORWARD still) She starts arguing with me. I said do you want me to call the police, she says no no, no damage, everything is fine. And we get back in our car and our now sitting through another red light and she starts blowing her horn at us. I'm like what the h**l. So I open my door and ask her if she has a d**n problem. And then the light turned green so we drove off, and then she almost hit us again as we turned the corner. I think this lady was either drunk, high and/or didn't have insurance. ANYWAY, we did not get her tag number, or insurance info (if she had any). I know that was stupid on our part, but we had a cranky daughter in the backseat and neither of us had damage. Well now we can't help but think this lady is going to try and pull something. I'm not sure what to do? anyone?

  1. No police man judge prosecutor or any sane person would ever believe her story.

  2. Since you didn't get her plate number, her name, her insurance info, or anything else, what can you do?  It's any ones guess what she may or may not do.  Report the incident to the police?  What good would that do at this point?  "ok",  I'm like"  "um", "excuse me"... Teeny bopper English ?

  3. So sorry for the incident, and yes you are correct in saying that you

should have gotten her name, insurance company, etc. You might

consider contacting your insurance company regarding the situation.

Explain to them how you just did her.  Also, tell them the area,

street names I'm sure you know. Good luck, I do hope that nothing

comes of this and next time be sure to get report.

  4. you see this is why I have a video camera in my vehicles even when they are parked it runs (it is a security camera setup I got it for like $400 w a inverter for another $80) I drive a semi so it is needed for this kind of stuff I got hit over a month ago. The truck was legally parked and I was inside I lost my hood the camera caught the whole thing no question who was at fault. But, I really got it in case something happens to me or someone else and a injury is involved as it can be used as court evidence.

in your case you could have got out and said I got you on tape bouch.

I wouldn't worry about it there is little you can do at this point that will help you she probably didn't have insurance. A lot of people don't these days(another reason for the camera).

If she does say anything you have a witness and she doesn't. Go ahead and take some pictures of the damaged trailer just in case she says you hit her with your truck or something.

Oh yea that line "it's fine there is no damage" should be followed by "the police have already been called"

    goodluck

  5. It Sounds like you are really screwed up by this problem. Hope you could get good luck here.http://car-insurance.bestips.info/car-in...

  6. You need to call your insurance company pronto.  Let them inspect your trailer, take photo's and your statements.  Your insurance carrier is there to protect you and this will allow them to do so.  If nothing ever becomes of it, then terrific.  If she does have the audacity to call, then you've done your part.
