  1. Year, make, model...side or front airbags? Front airbags usually are supplemental and only deploy on frontal impacts of a certain force and within a certain angle of direction off of center. Deployment  of front airbags in a rear end collision is not warranted since the force on the occupant is towards the rear....other restraint systems like proper seat belts should be sufficient to restrain an occupant during rear-impact or roll over situations. A service manual might have info on the deployment parameters. Eautorepair.net

  2. If had a frontal impact, your sensors should have gone off deploying the airbags.  If you were hit from the rear then they shouldn't have gone off.  In order to find out how and if the airbags were to have gone off then you need to contact a agency that deals in car accident deconsruction and have them test out why or why not it didn't happen.  Or you can get an attorney and he can go through everything for you!!

  3. A - rear end collisions do not cause airbags to deploy

B - an airbag that deploys while a car is rolling sideways can break your neck, killing or paralyzing you.

  4. it depends if the impact was hard enough for the sensors to go off

  5. The airbag sensors are in the front of the car,,,,
