Reason for the general hostility towards Roger Federer –Tennis News
After the 2012 Wimbledon Championships, Roger Federer has surpassed the likes of all the great players of his era and has become a living legend. In his most recent campaign at the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals 2012, he gave remarkable
defeats to his competitors such as Andy Murray, Juan Martin Del Potro and David Ferrer.
Many of his critics believe that the Swiss professional is entering the final stages of his career and will unable to produce a long list of endless successes, like before. In the last years of his career, he surely suffers from
a declining trend due to increasing age. Nonetheless, he still manages to bag away more wins compared to any of his age mates.
According to his fans, there is a current aura of negativity hauling above their Swiss hero. This is majorly due to the arrival of newer players on the front, who are desperate to bag home the win. Some believe that the general
emotion of pessimism is prevalent in the world today. There is an increased political, economic and social pressure on our minds and hence this creates a universal atmosphere of hostility and distrust.
In comparison to the Spanish challenger, Rafael Nadal, the Swiss participant lagged behind. However, due to his injured knee, the left-hander might never be able to battle forward at the same moment and Federer has a fair chance
to retain a decent spot in the top contenders.
The right-hander Swiss pocketed away more win when contrasted with the Serbian competitor, Novak Djokovic. In the year 2012, the two challengers continuously oscillated the win amongst one another but eventually Serbian pulled
up his gear and snatched the world number one rank.
The British number one, Andy Murray, takes 11-9 win in the head-to-head series but he is of no match to Swiss participant’s might. Federer mounted the world number one spot once again, after outmuscling the Brit in the final round
of the Wimbledon Championships.
Many viewers can never understand the Swiss professional’s craze for the sport. They similarly consider him as an opportunist professional, eagerly pressing to win all the tournaments in his way. For the Swiss Maestro, the situation
is very normal and he is hopeful about his future considering that it will pass. He is still positive about his future because he will definitely win in the end due to greater experience, persistence and a serious attitude towards tennis.
