  1. 6)  Perceived threat to the balance of power.

  2. US planes being targeted by Iraq's missiles in the no fly zone.

  3. Terrorist and #5 but not nuke, WMDs

Terrorism is rampant throughout the middle east, don't tell me insurgents weren't there when we went to Iraq, the day we invaded Iraq insurgents started their killings.

WMDs were found but not in the quantity or quality that was stated, Bush got this information form the CIA, he didn't put on the black jump suit and balcalva and investigated for himself. He got this information and went off of it.

and for those that said oil, LOL, we wouldn't be having 4 dollar gas if we had gotten a drop of oil from Iraq.

  4. Oil

  5. Sorry you need a combo platter to promote war. It takes multiple reasons to rally the different factions in the US and our allies.

Saddam and Iraq had all the above. Afghanistan had all but nukes.

  6. self interest and the interest of big business. Hello, we are capitalist

  7. you did leave out the most important reason

"he tried to kill my daddy"

  8. 6) Invading another country and then failing to live by the cease fire agreement you signed after the US kicked you out of that country..

  9. Isroil

  10. I honestly feel the geo-strategic locale followed closely by oil. In his defense, I do think Pres. Bush actually believes that spreading "Freedom" is a noble cause and I'm sure this played into the decision making process. A "reverse domino theory" of sorts.

  11. For the h**l of it
