  1. I did installations and worked in the automotive electronics business for a couple years and I am a big Rockford Fosgate Fan.  It's very clean power at a good price.

The biggest thing you'll have to work with is the enclosure that you're mounting you JL audio Sub in.  Depending on how much time and effort you want to put into it, I would suggest buying a pre-built enclosure.  And depending on what kind of music you listen to will determine sealed or ported box.  Ported will get you a little more "boom" if you're into Rab, Hip Hop, R&B, etc., but sealed is good for Rock, Jazz, acoustic, etc.

Also, you probably will need to turn down the gains on your AMP.  Based on the setup you have, I would probably suggest turning it down to about 3/4 and then doing the rest of the adjustments on your head unit.

Lastly, on the head unit, are you using a factory unit?  If so, you may not get as "clean" of sound as if you were to use an aftermarket radio that has pre-amp outputs.

Anyway, I hope that helps!  I wish you luck!

  2. rockford power is good power.pro!
