Ugh near the airport? Not a great neighborhood.  Stay in Union Square at the Chancelor...reasonable rates and clean

By reasonable do you mean inexpensive?  There are any number of motor lodges in the area; many have shuttle service from the airport.  

Try Econo Lodge, Best Western, Red Coach.

I've stayed in this one a couple times and it's good for the price you pay. The rooms are clean and you have a free breakfast at IHOP when check-in. It costs aroun $50 per night
