I live in florida and was involved in an auto accident in january(I was not at fault) I went to the chiropractor from january to april. My lawyer had just put together all the paper work and is ready to send it off to allstate, to file a claim against the other party. I was wondering, WHAT ARE THE REASONS WHY INSURANCE COMPANIES WOULD DENY AUTO INSURANCE CLAIMS?(it hasnt happened, but I was just wondering)

  1. There are SOOO many reasons why a claim would be denied.  However if Allstate has paid for your car repairs this is pretty much an acceptance of liability.  However, an insurance company will review all the medical bills and damages you sustained (very important) to come up with a one time lump sum payment.  Your question is very vauge to provide a better answer than this.

  2. Ok.

If the accident happened in Florida - that is a PIP state. That means your medical bills get filed against your Personal Injury Protection coverage on your policy. In order to collect from the other person, you have to "break threshold".

Since you have hired an attorney and will be paying him a very large chunk of any settlement you get (1/3 -1/2 depending) how about you make him earn his money and ask him your questions.
